I saw it. I saw it. There is a damn ass, mother fucking parallel between my Unmei orig fic (which I now decided to name The Age of the Dragon – yay for shower thinking tiemz!) and Avatar: the Last Airbender…at least in the characters.

Freakin’ Aang = Prince Katsurou
Katara = Unmei
Zuko = Hyun-Shik

When Arc 1 ends, Prince Katsurou is pretty much like Aangy. He a-fuckin-dores Unmei. Even in the little drabble things I’m writing (as a little background/transition for Arc1-Arc2), he clearly loves her. And this is scaring me. Aang loved Katara from first sight. Katsurou loves Unmei…well, I’d say not exactly first sight, but as time went on he loves her. It’s like…Unmei is Katsurou’s favorite toy and when his favorite toy goes missing he is all raeg!prince. So, spoilers for Arc2. The favorite toy goes missing and ends up in the hands of another ruler of another country. Said ruler is wary of toy, opting instead to use her as ruler pleases — for information. Eventually, toy becomes ruler’s advisor and helps rulers rebuild his country. Ruler then slowly begins to see toy as love interest (as their time together increases).

Iono. I feel like I’m writing some Aang-Katara-Zuko love triangle shiet. This sucks ass.

I so desperately hope that this parallel disappears. I would feel like I’m betraying my OTP.
